Diamond_smuggling

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Diamond_smuggling

Now, I'm not sure if there are people out there, somewhere, that already know this.

This is my little Diamond smuggling route I stumbled upon, purely by accident. it is a one way route though, but it's very short, making it's money vs time ratio among the highest of them all...

ok Diamonds. cheapest at Cadiz in Omega5, but I think Ronneburg Base. will have to do, as the corsairs are a nasty bunch of artwork.

It is also the most expensive at new Tokyo, but for travel and time, I think Leeds will do. especially considering the 2 jump route I discovered....

so here goes.... as from Ronneburg going to Leeds.

straight forward...... fly to the Cambridge JH and jump in don't bother fighting, just run run run...

once through you will need to make your way up to the leeds jumphole, from
here on in, it should be plain sailing....

once through the Leeds JH in Cambridge, take particular note of the location of it, in the Leeds system, as it will not appear on any map. You will have to visually find it, on your way back, for the next run.

It is in the cloud, closest to the 4th gate in the Leeds>New London jumpgate tradelane. Take note of the New London jumphole over to the left. Where my ship is now, that is the location of the hidden JH.

then just fly on in to Leeds...

easy money......

Nice ... but why is it smuggling? Diamonds aren't illegal. (If you really want to make money, go mine your own diamonds. It's easy enough. The diamond field asteroids yield a fairly high percent for the little asteroids you blast.)

weird...I've been doing the same thing but from the hessian base in omega 11...there IS something very lucrative you can bring back but I'm not going to tell you what because this thread is already a spoiler.

One way trade runs?? Whats the point? I won't touch a trade run unless I'm a) desperate for cash and b) guaranteed to end up in the same place with a big wad of cash in my pocket

Personally, I prefer doing missions. You don't make so much but killing all those ships makes it all worthwhile...

Come with me, to the Director of HR.

If it's killing you like, just become buddies with the Corsairs. You'll have all the Red Hessians, Bounty Hunters and Outcasts after you that you could ever want.

Spoiler.

But you can't buy diamonds at Cadiz, so Ronneburg is your only choice !

This isn't such a revelation! I've yet to do mission 6, and I've already found that run. Omega 5 is such a small system you'd have to be blind to miss the Cambridge Jump Hole. And that hole to Leeds is part of an earlier story mission................

Ronneburg Base to New Tokyo is much better + you can bring back engine components to make a pretty good profit, only if my sabre had a bigger cargo hold

i normally take diamonds from new berlin to new tokyo then take niobium from new tokyo back to the ring, its fairly quick and earns a pretty good profit

Do the Traingle around the Colonies.
Diamonds: New Berlin ==> New Tokyo
Engine Components: New Tokyo ==> Cambridge
Gold: Dublin ==> New Berlin

Do this 2-3 times to become a millionaire!

Killing Outcasts IS my hobby.
