Storage Characters.

For all,

Storage Character = One of your character ships is used soley for the storage of equipment, but can also be used to store ammo and money as well.

Transfering Money can only be done with help from another player, unless you have two accounts with two computers on at the same time. Or you can buy expensive equipment, transfer, and resell it on a base.

Transfering Equipment & Ammo can be done alone, but it is best to have someone around incase you get disconnected. If you are alone and jettisen the equipment, you can change characters and it will still be there. Make sure your storage character is in the same place and ready to receive. It is more difficult and time consuming, but you can also transfer by having another player hold the stuff for you while you switch.

An addition: Money can be transfered millions at a time by buying large amounts of expensive ammo and jettisoning those, then tractoring them up. 5 or 6 groups of 50 at a time seems to be relatively safe. We do not have to have the weapon to purchase the ammo, so load up on sunslayer torpedos, ripper mines, cannonballs etc. Firestalker ammo requires a good rep to buy unfortunately.

Of course, there is a practical limit to doing this, as we have to sell the ammo with our recipient, and buy it with our doner every time we use the process. I reccomend trying this with single units of cheap ammo until we feel comfortable with the spot we are using for transfers, since particular spots can cause us to lose jettisoned items.
