Object Unknown in tau-37

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Object Unknown in tau-37

Ive noticed a strange object in tau-37, I cant get to it though... has anyone else noticed this?
I tried to get to it and just got pushed away by the sun. The object is very close to the sun... it must be SOMETHING interesting

does anyone know what it is or how to get to it? i can provide a screenshot, but you cant actually see it, its just on scanners

thanks

Apparently its nothing. The unknown object is what makes the rings around the sun. Kind of like the fuch planetoid in Shikoku.

maybe someone could mod it( not me) to make the sun go away and leave the object, just a thought

Edit: oh... for a while i thought it was a jump hole to another nomad system, there are two of those, and i can only find the one in Omicron Alpha, where is the other one?

Erm... in Shikoku there was a set of rings that I found that DIDN'T have a planet at the centre, they had a prison facility...

I have no idea if that helps or not...

If it wasn't for the inky blackness of the night you wouldn't appreciate the brilliance of the stars...

actually that helped quite bit, an invisible planetoid creating rings, im guessing thats what th thing is then

i decided to run into the sun in tau37 and just got knocked back when i got quite close

50k of repairs for that stunt hehe

I was doing a trade run through the Tau 37 system once and was whizzing by the sun and the object, and I kid you not, I saw something that looked like a black fuzzy void. I've gone past that thing atleast 100 times, and that was the 1 and only time I saw it. I'd say it was 200m tall and 150m wide, and it looked like it was on the sun like a giant sunspot. Damndest thing I've seen yet, next to that sun I bumped into in Nomad country.

Hi !
Intrigued by this story about Tau 37, i have been see by myself. And i discovered another thing. Not an object, just something about map.
Go in the direction of Freeport 10. So, you see the base in front of you, horizontally.
Stop your engines and look at in the direction of your feet. Not south, of north, or east, or west, but down.
You can see a background like a giant cloudy mass with a sort of spiral corridor inside.
There is no object to target. Then i have targeted Freeport 10 for have a reference objet
Then, i have fly in the direction of the center of the spiral. Without targeting point inside, is not easy to maintain the course but if you use your point of course (freeport 10) like a reference, the indicator of direction (purple rhombus) must be motionless on a side of the screen. So, try to maintain it stable.
I regulary have stop my engines for check my position on the nav map and i have realize that in spit of the big traversed distance, my position on the map was not the same, but near the previous.
And when i look at back, i can see the stars and the two clouds of Tau 37, but very far and litlle.
I have traverded 273K before to be out of limits of the map. So I have realize that i was in the deep of the map. Yes, this is a 3 dimensional game, dont forget it. Even if the nav map seem to be in 2D, the universe is in 3D.
Then i remembered the Primus/Gammu system, the strange corridor inside and the star very far but visible and targetable on the nav map.
In fact, when you fly towards this star, you fly deeper in the nav map. You really realize that you fly in 3D.

The far star in primus/gammu system is enough big for see it and for this reason you can target it. But if there are small objects (ships, or even a little planet or moon), deep in the system, you cant see these objects, you must approach , and then detect.

Maybe there is nothing to find far of the center of a system, and when i think that i was at 273k of distance of Freeport 10 in Tau 37 without be out of map limits, i have the giddiness.

To big for exploration !! Maybe with chance ??
