Bug. Take a bar mission, or land, buya commdity and sell at either a profit or a loss, this should fix it.

If you installed the patch from the official FL homepage, you might want to remove it. It is only a serverside patch. You might need to reinstall afre that, but I'm not sure about that.
If you didn't install the patch, try buying a full load of something expensive (diamonds) and sell them, that is known to set things straight again.
Also, you can take on a mission. sometimes that helps.

And about the story, you're well past the ending of the storyline if you're level 31. Max is level 38 so you've got some work to do

okay I reinstalled and taking a mission worked. But this time I'm at LvL 22 and my current worth is 200,000 and it says the next LvL Req is 30,000 - helpppp lol
