Is there such a thing as the Alaska System? *possible spoile

I read on cheatplanet that there was an Alaska System. First, is this true or did they confuse this with the Bering System? Secondly, if there is an Alaska System, how do I get there? And finally, who controls it?

But if you have to know:

1. There is an Alaska system.

2. You can only get there in the SP soryline missions or by a mod. There is only really two things in the alaska system. A prision and a shipyard. I don't think you can dock at either, unless you have to during the missions.

3. It is controlled by the Liberty Navy, and The Liberty Police.

Thanks for the info. I totally spaced about that gate surrounded by the mines....

Any idea where the New York jumpgate in the New York system leads... tells me access denied....

It leads to another part of the New York system (intra-system jump hole instead of inter-system). I believe one end is near Buffalo Base and the other near Zone 21. You use it in the single-player campaign.
