Best way to get a Del Cid?

I want a Del Cid. Or two. The Corsairs seem to dislike me intensely. What are the chances of snagging a few by blowing up a few dozen Titans or is it going to be quicker to bribe someone, run a Corsair mission and then buy them?

Fix your rep with the Corsairs. Goto Omicron Theta, dock at Freeport 9 and then talk to the bartender. He offer rep fixes for the Corsairs and others. If you don't get the Corsair bribe, launch back to space and dock again. The repfix is random. If the reputattion-bar is completely red you could have to pay upto 150K to fix your rep with the Corsair.

When you've fixed your rep, goto Omicron Gamma - Tripoly Base and buy the Del Cids at 120K each.

He asked if corsairs can drop them. AFAIK, corsairs don't mount Del Cids on their ships, so you can't loot them. The only way is to buy them, with the above mentioned method.

You can loot them from kills but only on BH missions out of Theta, Corsair level 19's usually mount them but there like nomad weapons they drop but very irregularly. So quicker to get the Corsair rep bribe, unless your broke then take a few BH missions and eventually they will drop on a level 40+ mission.

pay someone with a corsair rep to buy them for you

Thanks all. I must have docked a dozen times at Freeport 9 and the bar-tender never offered the Corsair bribe. I know it's there - just got bored trying! Ended up shooting a bazillion Titans and made a fortune off dropped Salamanca 2s but no Del Cids!! Oh well, I'll stick with the Wryms for now!

Apparently the Tizonas drop only as bonus loot in random missions of the highest difficulty rating but never in the wild.

OK! Doing a few level 43 missions for the Bounty Hunters got me 5 Del Cids as loot!! Thanks for the tips!

BTW, that rep fix mentioned above...sometimes it takes a initial bribe before you get the one you want. This happens for the Outcasts bribe in Tau-37 at Freeport too when you have to first bribe the local faction first, then you get the one you want.

Might end up costing you more than 200K total, but it works.
