Trick Positions and Moves

Hi all, Try this move, works great for me.

While In "Cruise" mode (speed 300) hit your key that kills the engines, this can only be done in "free flight" mode.

This will work great for you while being chased by a half a dozen baddies, you only slow down at a tiny rate.

After killing the engines turn and fire apon your victims (yes, you will still be traveling 200+)

This move requires a little practice, but has worked for my escape (Xape) 90% of the time. Most times the Bots will break off instantly!

Be warned though, you can not steer your ship very well when gliding! DO NOT ATEMPT WHILE HEADING FOR A MINE FIELD.....hehehehe

I dont actually no what this is. A bug, deliberate or what... Basically using engine kill and turning around to face attackers causes them to lose interest in you. Thats how you manage to escape.

Of course dont do while while flying in the general direction of a star or minefield. 'Warning entering su...' *explodes*

wasn't it something about how the engine kill function was supposed to let you fake death?

seems to me it was deliberate, I stumbled on to it and it works great.

Ever use the jump gates as a defensive nest?
