Takagi Mission

Im on a mission where Ozu of the blood dragons and i are to destroy takagi base. I can destroy the first patrol i encounter howeveri keep getting wasted at the base.

The base has a battleship. 4 shield generators and numerous bogies defending it can anyone help?
