Nomads dropping stuff?

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Nomads dropping stuff?

I have heard lots of people saying those Nomads in the monkey/robot system drop cool weapons, but I swear I've blasted dozens of those things and they have left me nothing. Do you have to be a certain level to aquire Nomad lasers, or do they only leave loot in extremley rare occasions? And, geez, that is a WIERD system, gives me a head ache looking down into that brown pool of mattter amidst spiky log thingys. Do the monkeys not have any rumors, or do they not like me? They aren't a faction, so how are you supposed to please them? No bribes are available, I've checked a lot, I know the importance of allieing one's self with the monkeys.

The Monkeys are coming. Beware!

Actually you have to be at least a lv.33 to be able to get the awesome weapons dropped by these Nomads. They only drop the weapons like every third or fourth group that you vanquish. I personally have 4 Nomad weapons (which is the max class 10 weapons slot avail.) in which they totally kick azz.

I got an Outcast bribe to be friendly in Omicron Alpha and went through that jump hole... one visit through that jump hole and the Nomds inside omicron Alpha around the jump hole gave me enough Nomad Canons and Blasters... 4 of each (maybe I was just luck, but i DID have to kill a lot of them)... Just make sure you dont have to fight the Outcasts at the same time or you'll get wasted... I found out the hard way...

If you are lvl 30 at least {higher the better}or with a high lvl player, the easiest way to get them is go to Planet Primus in the Omicron Gamma Unknown jump hole.

There sit behind the docking gates square centre section, and then when the nomads come they can't shoot you. So you wait for them to split up which makes it easier but don't wait too long or they enter the atmosphere and die and don't drop anything.

Actually, it does not matter what level you are; what matters is that you are rich enough.

I got a Nomad weapon drop at level 13 (during the free time after mission 7) but my net worth was almost 3 million at that time; I had already cleaned out all other codename/paralyzer wrecks before I went to the Unknown Jumphole in Omicron Alpha to fetch the Ripper mines.

well online and offline is different, online your lvl equates to your worth, so you need to be atleast lvl 30 in a VHF fully equiped and about 1 mil in cash, before the nomads drop with any regularity.

I found a really good way to get nomad weapons.

At Freeport 9 head Northeast to the Unkown Jump Hole
YOu wind up in what I think is Omnicron Alpha.
A sector or 2 north of the Omnicron Theta jumphole that you came out of, there is another Unkown Jump Hole.
Go into it.
YOu end up in this strange pink system.
On the Nav map you are way out to the right of Omnicron Alpha, in the green blobs labelled ??
A Nomad patrol of 4 ships attacks you.
Kill them
Go back to Omnicron ALpha
as you get out of the jumphole there are 4 Nomads
Kill them, and go back into the jumphole.
ANother ptrol is there

repeat however many times you want, and Nomad Energy Cannons are stronger thna Nomad Energy blasters.

YOu don't have to worry about outcasts with the exception of getting to the nomad system, occasionally there are Outcasts when you go back into Omnicron Alpha.
