Fighting the nomads

So I got the nomad powerplant and made it out to the jump hole to be found by a bunch of nomad fighters and gunships.

I kill a couple of gunships and a few fighters but I keep getting creamed.

I have an Anubis and level 6 guns. What am I missing?

I heard Juni say ' Look at your 12 O'clock' or something like that. Is she refering to the gunships showing up?

A little help would be good

Thanks

Actually, saying 'Three words, GET BETTER GUNS!' counts as five words.
Technically speaking that is.

Cardamine rules!!

Keep away from the fighting, but not to far because than you lose for leaving the battle.
Also, using thrusters every now and then helps to evade enemy fire.
Use a lot of missiles and mines and make sure you have plenty of bots and bats.
When you go hunting for the Nomad energy thingy, focus all your attention on destroyng the Shield generators, the nomads won't hunt you. Don't be a hero by trying to kill nomads, do what they hired you to do.
Juni and King will be just fine as they are invincible by programming.
The only thing you have to worry about is time.
Use Torps to destroy the generators so you spare your missiles.

On your way back, head straight for the closing jumphole and leave the Nomads alone. Again, Juni and King are fine, so don't worry about them. Even if they are not at the jumphole yet, or if you feel they won't be there in time to go through the jumphole, let them be.
The only fight you have to fight is when you pop out of the jumphole. But you will now have plenty of ammo and bats/bots.
If you hold out long enough, some backup will arrive later

Good luck

ERROR

Edit: Spelling, allways the spelling
