The Eagle does not have long wings, but losing a wing costs you some hull and a few weapons... So does losing a sabre's "wing"... Switch to Eagle.


Careful what you wish... You might just get it.

The Eagle looses 2 weapons when it looses a main wing , one lvl 9 slot and one lvl 10. But depends where its hit, sometimes its the rear wings that are hit and get blown off first so nothing lost.

No idea for the sabre but every one I've fought and tried to remove a wing, I've not succeded yet. For this reason I take note of the good Sabre pilots as they do have an advantage in PVP, if they are accurate in engine kill flight as they are less likely to loose weapons.

Best way to find out is make 2 online characters, one Eagle one Sabre, then decide.

I'd have to say the Eagle... although I have 2 concurrent games.. one with Eagle.. on with Titan.. while hte Titan is slower and turns like a battleship I did fare better gainst the Nomads with it to pick up my Nomad weapons

i don't care what fighter u take, as far as the 1 who fight with it is comfort with that fighter...

the eagle has better maneuvrability and not a turret who can shoot forward, the titan has the maneuvrability of a sabre (they said, i felt a less maneuvrable fighter in it....) with a better armor and a turret who can't shoot forward.

i like the sabre and eagle both...

i still dont like losing weapons...
but the eagles turn rate makes it rally tempting...
but still the fact that it can lose weapons is still a reason that weighs heavier than its manueverbility

u can also make a new char on the server where u'r playing and buy for that char an eagle

Drake. Never ever underestimate it.

i know, u can pinpoint vhf down with it , i like the drake, it's to bad the weap class isn't all the same, then i can do 1 type of pyros (outcast particle cannons) on it, or just all 1 weap-class higher.... but whatever, it is a very good fighter, even against vhf...

i did a 150k mission fron crete against BH, the couldn't shot my shield even down , i didn't need nanobots and shieldbats for it, the suncorona was nearby the missionwaypoit, sometimes they navigator computer said; entering suncorona. it's fun, but u need to be a good pilot for flying that peace of art (the drake, what do u think...)

the dragon is also a good fighter, but lesser maneuvrable...

I would keep the Saber. It can hold 300 ammo for every thing.

About the only way I've ever died in a class-10 (class-10 not level-10, level 10 is something different, that's when you can buy a Drake) ship is by crashing into my own Ripper or Sunslayer.
