What is the history of the pirate factions?

I know the history of the Corsairs and Outcasts as being part of the crew of the Hispania and that they split up and colonized planet Malta (outcasts) and planet Crete (corsairs) and that their origins are Latin-American but what about the rest of the pirate factions? How did they originate?

It's a very long list. You can see most of any faction's history by looking at their information in the reputation listing, or by looking at the info of one of their bases. For example, you can see the history of the Rogues by looking at the info of the Buffalo Base.
