Class 7 guns

Class 7 guns

I apologize in advance because i know some of your patiences wear thin on these sort of subjects... but any help would be appreciated.

I know you can buy c 7 debilitators in Liberty, but i couldnt find any info on what sort of ships you would be able to loot them from.. does anyone know of any?

Also, on both the sticky here and the excel file you can download, the Barrager mk III is listed as 750 m/sec but in the game i see it as 600 m/sec... i would assume the game is right but is this a known typo in the game or something?

i also have a side question for someone who may feel like helping: how to the barrager III and vengance III projectiles look on the badass scale? worth goin out of my way to get?

The Barragers are 600/600 in the game data; the infocard info seems to be right.

As for a badass class 3 weapon, you'll probably want the Adv. Scorpion. Just go look at the stats.

I am currently flying a Drake in Rheinland, earning the money for a Banshee. And I am still using the Adv. Scorpions because there is nothing on sale that would make it worth upgrading (until I get the Banshee, hehe).

P.S.: Sorry for the mistake, but the Barrager Mk III is class 6. So it's the Tarantulas you'll want to look at, not the Scorpions. Difficult to get, tough.

P.P.S.: When in doubt and class 6 or higher, go buy GMG weapons.

If you want Class 6 or 7 , you're kinda deep in the hole. There is an obvious lack of quality class 7 weaponry, all the really good series end at Class 6, or start at class 8.

Noteworthy Class 6 / 7 weapon series:

The Sunblast A / B from the Gas Miner's Guild, these are solid Class 6/7 photon weapons. The Sunblast A is better than the Barrager Mk III because it's faster (750 m/s), yet has EXCATLY the same damage and power usage.

The Luger A / B from the Bundschuh. They're very similar to the Outcast's Tacheyon weapons, however the Outcasts do not have a Class 7 version. The Bundschuh do.

Instead of Tarantulas, try Pyros type 2. They're the best damage level 5 weapon (same damage as Tarantulas) but you can find them more easily the Tarantulas, on a few wrecks (Eg Puno in London, south west of Trafalgar Base)

For a nice Class 7 try Angelito Mk III's, good damage (neutron, 209, refire 4, 600/600; Leon, Cadiz, Crete, Tripoli). Hard to get, you'll have to be friendly with Corsairs. Alternatively Sunblast B's (photon, 109, refire 8.33, 600/750; Aomori Station) or Adv.Sunrails (particle, 209, refire 4, 600/600; Battleship Essex).

Personally when I need class 7's I go for all Sunblast B rapid fire death, they chew through shields pretty quick and they have reasonable energy use.

For the other side point, Barragers have a red projectile and sound a bit like a machine gun. Vengeance are blue streaks, and neither look particularly badass.

I fly banshee's on 2 different servers, with opposite loadouts.

For fast, high refire I use the Sunblast B and A combo.

For slow, super-damage I use a pair of Flamecurse and a pair of Drake B's.

Of course the faster weapons have advantages in accuracy, but I have had pretty good success with the Flamecurse despite it's slothful 500 velocity and pathetic refire of 2. Plus the Drake/Flamecurse weapons look cooler.. hehe. It's also nice tossing around nearly 1200 hull damage in a single click - with a light fighter

Another load-out I am contemplating would be a shield stripper like the Rapier, with 3 high-level missile launchers.. but I'm saving this one for when I have enough $$ to waste on missiles.
