Help - Stuck at mission 3

First I have to tell you that I have soundproblems. Stuttering,skipping,missing you name it, mostly the dialogues. (soundcard = creative sound blaster PCI 128)
I tried everything to repair this problem(readme files etc..) but nothing works.
Anyway
In mission 3 after leaving Willard station the mission objective is going back to California Minor with Juni. Whenever I try to do this we meet up with 3 rheinland ships who are sitting there and doing nothing. After that I can fly around wherever I want but i cant dock nowhere. When i check the Net it says "awaiting mission objective"
Can somebody get me past this?
Do I have to complete every mission to go up one level and to be able to go to other systems?
I am now stuck at level 5

I had the same problem with the sound to, but it's easily solved. Go the the troubleshoot section for Freelancer and it tells you what to do, you needa download or re-install some codec.
As for the Rhieny ships, ram them, takes about an hour but it gets the job done... as I found out.
