How can I become friendly with the Corsairs?

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

How can I become friendly with the Corsairs?

I want to be able to get their ships and guns, but I can't figure out how to because they are enemies with everyone. Is it possible to bribe for it on Freeports or Junker bases? Is there some secret mission I have to complete or something?

Kill lots of Red Hessians, that should do the trick. Worked for me, and now I am the owner of a Centurion HF. (and almost broke !)

Check the Rep-Hack List thread above for places you can bribe the Corsairs. Be prepared to dish out some cash; 100k or better. You may also have to run a few missions for the Corsairs in order to buy the best weapons. Bribes don't always improve your rep well enough to buy their best stuff.

Now why would anyone want to kill Outcasts? Really.

Kill Xenos to get friendly with pretty much everyone, especially the Outcasts. For the Corsairs, I found it much easier to kill Mollys. They're nowhere near as much bother as the Hessians. That way you stay allies with the 'big four' of Sirius... the Corsairs, the Outcasts, the Red Hessians and the Bounty Hunters. I suppose if you're daring you could get feisty with the Bounty Hunters, though I wouldn't recommend it...

kill all of the policing factions in sirius from each house that way you become friendly with the big four

you will even become friendly with the xenos but that won't matter because you're contra police

I just blasted Mollys in New London. The asteroid field near Dublin jumpgate is perfect, with BS Sufflok (sp?) nearby. I'm currently blasting them with 6 furys in a Hammerhead on Elite. Anyone who wants to join me needs only to find me there whenever I'm on.

As for the Xenos: Just watch your Zoner rep, don't overdo it. Or else you can bribe.

After SP storyline I found myself neutral with Xenos & docked at Ouray.
They wouldn't talk to me, but after reading their news I decided that
people are RIGHT for hating the Xenos, the reason for their terrorism
is just stupid. Undocked & started blowing them up.

Bundschuh go hostile in reaction to genocide against Xenos and Mollys too,
but they're only important if you want a Stiletto or a Sunslayer.

I don't recommend making war against Bounties, despite what some say.
Ditto for House police. Red Hessians are a better bet.

There's another way to do it, if you're good enough with the Junkers to fly missions for them (no more than one box into the negative.) Every random mission you successfully complete improves your rep with the Junkers by one box, and also by about one-fifth of a box with the Corsairs which are friendly with the Junkers.

Beaumont in Texas offers missions that you can fly for the Junkers to kill Xenos. Against weak Xeno ships, you can knock off missions in 3-4 minutes. An hour of that gets the Corsairs up from fully hostile into neutral, and another hour can get the Corsairs high enough so that you can go fly missions for them, and that's an easy way to get them up to fully friendly.

Takes longer, but doesn't have the bribe side-effect that you piss off everyone who hates the Corsairs, which is half the galaxy...
