Difference between level 10 guns?
If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

How does a Diamondback differ from a Thor's Hammer, et cetera? There's small differences in damage and power, but that's all I can see. Do they have other effects that make them unique? I notice that the game says they're "classified" and only their names are known.

The nomads are definatly the best level 10 guns. They have the highest damage per second and use no energy. Of couse it gets boring when everyone uses them.

Sorry I couldn't make it better. When I typed it it was in columns but when I posted it it got messed up. Levle 10 guns have no class and they all affect shields to their full potential.

I think one might find difference in refire rate - at least I did. After few dodgefights with nomad guns (2xBlaster, 2xCannon) I went back to "normal" Class 10 because I prefer lower rate with greater punch, it seems I can aim better with that setup. Nomads are either 4.0 or 3.03 refire rate, though most "classics" are 2.0 (some are also 3.03).
Finally I ended up with 2xDIAMONDBACK and 2xBLUE BLAZE and do not expect to figure out anything much better.

Strange, after I post here, I started to experiment with different refire rate changing my 4/2/2 refire rate setup (2xSalamanca Mk II & 2xDIAMONDBACK & 2xBLUE BLAZE) to 3.03/3.03/3.03 (2xWyrm II & 2x Nomad Cannons & 2xWILD FIRE) and it seems quite good .
The other interesting factor between those two setups is projectile speed. For the former case it aligns at 600m/s for the latter it is 700m/s for Wyrm and 600m/s for the rest. I have yet to find targeting/convergence problem with the latter (I expected there should be some problems due to different speeds). Maybe the faster weapons follow the slower ones .
