I think the bountyhunters really do use a different Hammerhead. (Indeed the bountyhunter wrecks have level 10 weapons). Did anyone notice that when you fly a hammerhead your "exhaustion flame" thing (I really don't know how to say this in English so I hope you know what I mean) is collered yellow/white but it is collered red on the bountyhunters ships. Must be a different kind of enigine or something.

I don't know.. I guess I just like doin it Sabre-style.

My all time favorite ship is hammerhead, all the way.

here is my ship progression in MP:

Starflyer, Rhino, barracuda, hammerhead. Screw the kusari ships. Only thing I find them good for is killing.

And do NOT underestimate the starflyer. That little cropduster can tear some ass in the right hands. I took my starflyer all the way to bretonia several times.

I love the 2 gun 1 missile combo on the starflyer. Only downside is in multiplayer and beyond bretonia in singleplayer. It can NOT kill a capital ship within a lifetime, and a pvp fight when you go up against an eagle or titan is just funny. Their shields regenerate faster than you can take them down.

Bah banshee best LF in the game and with the rite weapon configuration its untochable even by eagles and hammerheads ENOUGH SAID!

And what is that "right weapon config" than?

Anyway, I think the Legionnare is well worth the price, a very decent ship for the money. I had it from I bought it the first thing I did when I got to Bretonia until I landed on the Osiris the fist time (at which point I bought the Anubis).
The Drake is fine too. As someone else said it is VERY good if ou just do a fine lot of dodging.

I can't wait until I find a really good mod where I can fly the Liberty Cruiser... Ah... Sweet dreams Buffalo Base, 'cause here comes the almighty Projectile in the NSN Dorsetshire (yeah, I'll call her that...) to blast your puny base to even punier pieces! WAHAHAHAHAHAAA!

the correct configuration for a banshee is 2x Sunblast A's and 2x Sunblast B's

take out a VHF in seconds!

i would dare someone in a banshee to come against my sabre with 2 del cids, 2 NEBs and 2 NECs, and a wyrm2 turret. ill take you in in only a few shots.

The dragon is good value for money if you get the magical one that the blood dragons and navel forces fly that can mount class 7 weapons

The Patriot is also excellent value for money, and in MP you can buy it with your start funds right away. It handles better than every other fighter except for the Drake, and if you equip it with Lavablades then you have sufficient firepower to fly missions up to difficulty 20 comfortably. The Patriot cannot mount big shields but a class 3 shield in a Patriot takes your farther than a class 4 one in sitting ducks like Bloodhound/Dagger/Piranha ...

Heh, your Sabre wouldn't be able to even hit the Banshee if he got behind you. Have fun.
