Hawk................for it's price of 70K it performs very well and you have tons of options with it concerning weopons, (fast and quick, long range and heavy, etc.), so I'd say Hawk.

Anubis is better...

what was it cost like? 1400?

I rather have a few dozen anubis than a single titan..

How 'bout the Starflier you get for free?

Actually, the Dagger is a good ship (with 5 guns if you include the turret) with the armor of the Defender and the turn rate of the LF's.

Hammerhead.

It's the cheapest of the VHFs by hundreds of thousands of credits, yet it handles as well as an Eagle, and has 6/1 weapon mounts.

It's a little short on power, but a good pilot can make it work. I'm a classic guns-only fighter, so I set it up with a pair of Adv Debilitators and 4 Kracken IIs.

The sad thing is, I've aced many an Eagle in this ship. Of course, if the Eagle is your final destination, you might as well skip this ship like everyone else does.

I dunno, I can beat 10 rogues at a time with a stock starflier and a weapon for the 2k you get with it.

The hammerhead is better with the turret mod. Without it, the turret is just about useless.

I agree it is a very good ship. It is the only VHF that is available along standard trade routes. All the others are in the border worlds and you have to use jump holes. I used one after I finished the single player the first time and I kept it until I traded for a Sabre. Great ship.

I wish the madel we can buy was the same as the ace bounty hunters that carry class 10 weapons. There are a couple of Hammerhead wrecks that have class 10 weapons so why can't the buyable one?
