Ignorant people... if you actually bothered to pay attention to SP cut-scenes, then you'd know that The Order isn't a terrorist group. Orillion formed it to counteract the Nomad invasion of Sirius. So the Order did not blow up Freeport 7, they were just said to have done it by the Houses. But they did blow up the Donau because Admiral Shultzky was onboard and planning to infect President Jacobi.

As for who did blow up Freeport 7, I got no idea.

Having not yet reached the post-SP nomad areas i don't know everything about them...but the ones in single player are pretty measly. Good pilots, hard to hit with my pure energy weapon loadout and crippling inability as a pilot, but their hulls go down preeeetty quickly...

And as for the shields, hello? Yes, shields would probably take up more room on a battleship, but they're pretty big...can probably afford the extra power drain. Surely something that big would have a better generator...
I mean, it's not like their weapons are anything to take into consideration... they suck :\

Nomads dont have shields because Nomad ships are organic. Grown, not built. Do a cargo scan on an Interceptor and read the ship info.

I accept the reasoning for Nomad ships, but i will persist in demanding why the obvious choices for shields - capital ships [human ones and transports - are shieldless and vulnerable. FS, it's ridiculous how easily a battleship can be taken down...

Yes, the nomads did blow up a NEUTRAL ZONER base, which would be the perfect target. But being a NEUTRAL ZONER base that they blew up was purely concidental. They blew it up for the artifact, but why? Near the end of the storyline, (I won't warn of spoilers because this is a spoiler forum after all) you have to fly to the "lock" because the Artifact is a key. The Nomads didn't want the humans to find out where they lived. That is why everybody is chasing you. The Chancellor ordered the military to either recover or destroy the artifact.

About my prior post, I was quoted a rumor, what I meant by it was that people think The Order is doing what the Nomads are doing. That guy hit the nail on the head, too bad it was the wrong nail, the Nomads could kill two birds with one stone blowing up FP7, cause disharmony AND destroy the artifact. And since the Nomads had at that time taken over Rheinland they would've known everything Rheinland knows, and that includes Freeports and the Boorman Treaty.
