And how would it have been harder to possess a petty thief than a councillor of a star system?!

And adding to the annoying question theme, why do capital ships/nomad ships not get shields?!

Nomads don't have shields because they'd be frickin' impossible to beat if the odds were more than 1 on 1(which they always are). So they can't give them shields.

About battleships having no shields. Heard a rumor from an NPC that they were too big for shields. They must have drianed a lot of power to cover the whole ship or multiple ones would have been needed taking up valuable space.

You say Nomads are technologically advanced but dumb, if they preffered to have Freeport 7 destroyed and this way draw a lot of attention. But let's take a different approach of this. Why would such a technologically advanced race care about drawing attention? If they thought they were so much better than the rest of the poor souls in the Sirius Sector, then I guess they would have no reason to care about drawing attention. Maybe they thought they could deal with just anyone that comes after them so why should they care? They were hellbent on destroying humans, as explained somewhere in the game, so maybe they just took the opportunity when it was available

Bingo,just found out through the Junkers that the reason why Freeport 7 was destroyed wasn't because of the artifact at all.It seems the true reason behind the attack was due to Rheinland itself.


If you had been you'd been reading up on your rumours you would have heard about some sort of rumours pertaining to there being a Rheinland expedition in which they found a bunch of active alien artifacts.It seems that Rheinland expedition left these on Freeport 7 {why ?,I have no idea!}.It seems that the Nomads might have been attracted by these active alien artifacts in which they destroyed the station possibly to keep other people from getting them,which leaves more questions than answers,imo.

You think the Nomads would really care if they killed some measly humans, the Nomads hate all the humans(if you still call them that) and they are always killing them anyway, I think blowing up the station was kind of an added bonus for the Nomads, and who says they had any knowledge of the factions in Sirius and there ties with the other factions, they tried to destroy the artifact the "old fashioned" way, the easiest way they could think of... But another thing, why can't you ever see the pilots in the Nomad ships?

Okay played Mission 1 over again, a guy on Manhattens bar (odd that an entire coruscant style 1 city planet have 1 bar) said something along the lines of this:

"I bet it was The Order who blew up Freeport 7. Its just the kind of thing they would do. Freeport 7 was a Zoners base and was neutral, that sort of thing could cause hostilities in the colonies."

And that class is one of the reasons they blew up Freeport 7. Helps cause disharmony in the colonies because it was neutral ground. Also in the Neural Net Log it said that on the rescue ship people where acusing the LSF, Governor Tageki and Chancellor Niemann. I have a screenshot of the rumor too, to bad cant post it.

Because drawing attention to yourself is DANGEROUS for your health. It telegraphs your punches and gives your opponents early warning and a chance to prepare for conflict so he could kick your ass.

Apparently the Nomads did exactly that and got their ass kicked. Q.E.D.
