So, we beat Hovis, run to Leeds. Escape from Leeds and run for Homan on the way to get QUintaine to Shinkaku (is that a planet ??

). I can't seem to dock
with the trade lane fast enough to keep the 3rd ambush from blowing me up...

Now I am arriving somewhat beat up... (i'm not all that good) and only have 1
shiled recharge wrth of shield bats (3) left and 4 to 7 nanobots left. I'm running
crusader with stock shields, ripper and adv ripper for guns. And I've dumped 3
torps into the BB on the run in. Oh yeah, completely unmodded game.

Make it to the trade lane and try to doc. g voice indicating docking, but the ship just sits there.... (well until hull breech....)

what am i doing wrong? do i need to arrive with more shield batts so i can stand teh wait? doi need to take out the bb? i'm stuck. probably dropping back to pre hovis so i can get back the plasma weapons i discarded... and try with them...
damn i hate faling out of favor wih the local military...

hints ?

it might be a bug in the game.

Dock with the trade lane, hit Esc, fly around to dodge, then dock with the trade lane again. It'll work the 2nd time.

thanks.. will give it a try...
also found the adv guardian shield which might help.

seemed like a weird state tobeleft in,but didn't know if authors required us to ignore npc advice....
