Ship Sequence

First run through SP:
Starflier
Defender (kept it all the way through the Bretonia missions; I thought that trading ships often would be expensive)
Barracuda
Anubis (finished SP)
Dromedary
Humpback
Dromedary (darn Humpbrick)
Drake (to do stuff to neutralize rep, including slaughter Xenos)
Sabre
Titan
Eagle (tried all 3 VHFs in the order I found them for sale, and kept the Eagle)
Second run, playing as a pirate:
Starflier
Dagger (good thing killing Xenos makes Rogues go neutral)
Legionnaire (that Dagger had to kill lots of Bounty Hunters to get Corsairs neutral)
Wolfhound (to get it, had to go from freelancing in Kusari space allll the way to Montezuma in Cortez and back again. Beat SP in this UGGGGLY mofo)
Stiletto (got impatient leveling for a Falcon so bought this instead)
Centurion
Third run, LFs only:
Starflier
Bloodhound
Cavalier
Drake (beat SP in it)
Starflier

SP#1: Starflier, Defender, Crusader, Dragon, Anubis (w/ Order weapons)
SP#2: Starflier, Patriot, Cavalier, Drake, Anubis (w/ Bundschuh Lugers)
SP#3: mission 8 savegame from SP#2, then Drake, Anubis (w/ GMG weapons)
Like many other people I gravitated to the heavy fighter ships during my first time through the campaign, because I did not know that this is actually harder than in a light fighter. The second run was much later; basically I wanted to see if missions 11 .. 13 are easier with decent weapons (they are). Run #3 was to see if it is feasible to use GMG weapons for the Anubis (it is) and whether these weapons make a difference (they do).
Tried several other things (like Starflier-Patriot-Piranha-Barracuda) but played only up to the point where you dock with the Osiris, since I had done the rest in the Anubis already. Then I tried different ships for beating the game all the way:
SP#4: mission 10 savegame from SP#2 but finished in Drake
SP#5: Starflier, Dagger
SP#6: Starflier, Patriot
SP#2: Starflier, Patriot, Cavalier, Drake, Anubis (w/ Bundschuh Lugers)
SP#3: mission 8 savegame from SP#2, then Drake, Anubis (w/ GMG weapons)

My first ever ship sequence was...
Starflier (loved its small size and maneuvorability so kept it longer than I should)
Defender (managed to pick it up on the last freelance part in Liberty - lucky!)
Cavalier
Crusader
Hawk
Anubis
Valkyrie (had to fly it, it seemed so amazingly tough at the time)
Falcon (found out the Valkyrie wasn't so tough afterall)
Humpback (made my millions)
Hammerhead (first VHF I ever encountered, I had to buy it...)
Titan (my baby...)
And from then on, haven't changed ships. Though I did flirt with the idea of buying a Sabre, to see what they were like. But I tried one in MP and hated it.

i cant believe i got thru the storyline with this many ships!
i also beat hovis with the clydesdale
sticks and stones may break my bones but whips and chains excite me!
