speed does matter

Here I am flying in a modded TIE Defender. This is a ship that is fast, agile and not much firepower. It can carry a level 10 shield, ,but it doesn't really neeed those. You can just be happy with a level 6. Why? Because it is so fast and agile, nothing can hit it...

Then I was flying this modded brick (humpback) Lots of firepower, level 10 shileding. It just get pounded over and over and there's not much you can do about it except trying to take everybody down quickly with your turret.

So , to the question sabre vs eagle vs titan vs humpback..

I say speed /agility is the foremost important. Eagle tops it...

A Kusari Drake light fighter is a small target and super-agile, like a Starflier, but can mount class-6 stuff. By your reasoning, could it give an Eagle a tough fight? Hmm, maybe, but I doubt it.

Agility is an important factor, you can even say it is the most important factor, but it is certainly not THE ONLY factor in the equation. Same goes to fire power and shielding.

the drake is better maneuvrable then the starflier

I killed an Eagle-pilot with a Drake... pretty tough, but 2 borrocco shield killers and repeated use of mines on the right times usually does the trick... (just drop them when he's coming ur way... if they don't hit he has to evade, bringing you in a better position)
