UNKNOWN OBJECT IN TAU37--- NOW KNOWN!!!

Hi everyone,
I was playing around with the .ini files (Using BINIQDU) and was playing around with the Systems folder. I remembered about the Unkown object. So i decided to find out what it was. I found out which sun was hiding it, and deleted the text and saved. I then loaded up Freelancer. I joined my multiplayer server and had a look. I had managed to delete the sun! Now what was left was to find out what the Unkown object was. It was rotting my hull away pretty quickly (I was in a liberty dreadnought (I was playing Reyens mod)) and I managed to get some snappies for u. I will upload the piccies soon but I wont be able to keep them there for ever as it is on my free 10MB of webspace I get from my ISP.
Here I will show u the sun I deleted AND the ProtoPlanet(At least thats what the ini file said.
THE SUN I DELETED TO GET TO THE UNKOWN OBJECT-------------------

star = proto_sun1
atmosphere_range = 4000
ids_info = 66151
NOW FOR THE UNKOWN OBJECT------------------

um, ok... sooo, what is it?

If I had a nickel for every time someone told me that my idea of building a giant robotic parrot out of melted down coins was a bad idea, I would have one kick a$$ giant robotic parrot.

Actually, Hairfarmer in not sure. The Pictures show it looks like a small rock, but has the radiation damage of a neutron star. The ini files suggest that it is either the core of the sun OR some kind of protoplanet, hidden inside that sun.

Looks to me like a pulsar star. But Pulsars are normally a bit bigger than this tiny thing.

But still Duriel, Thanks for the info

Where did you get the Reyens mod?

Once you've reached Level 10 weapons, Liberty ships are a waste of ammo.

It looks like a countermeasure to me, but... I could be wrong about it.

And all my happiness was flushed down the infernal toilet and sent straight to the sewers of hell...

I found reyens mod on this website. Also the Liberty dreadnought has been changed to be the second best battleship in reyens mod

It might just be a protostar...

An early star in birth.

Protoplanets.. would.. be bigger....

unless this is jsut a messed up easter egg

I said it once and ill say it again.... It looks like a countermeasure.

Nope... Protostars are pretty durn big-- MUCH bigger than planets.

Basically protostars are accreting gaseous material in order to reach a certain critical mass where its gravity would be strong enough to cause nuclear fusion to occur in the core.

Failed protostars that couldn't get enough mass to light up are brown dwarves, and these are massive-- We are talking multiple Jupiter masses.

And yes, stars are born in EGGs-- Evaporating Gaseous Globules. These are seen in that famous Hubble photo of the Eagle Nebula (Messier object M16-- The Pillars of Creation):

I thought I had seen something around the sun once when I was flying from...somewhere in the system to a waypoint. From what I could see (I only saw it for a second, I didn't stop...because I'm an idiot...), it looked like the big gun end of a gunboat. (The part that shoots out the huge laser, used to destroy the research satellite that you go to before using the first jump hole in sp.) I may have been imagining it, but I think I saw something.
