You need to join the Lane Hacker faction first. They have the equipment for hacking the codename of the wreck. : p

Just kidding. Shoot the wreak and the loot will drop. Just press "B" to tractor in.

hmm good advice I think not

What you do is shoot the wreck just not too much or you might damage the cargo weapons etc that Will come off of it, one salvo from 300meters should do depending on the weapons you have, then tractor them in.

NB sometimes they dont have any, so someone has been there before you or its an emtpy wreck, so check with the cargo scanner. Any weapons etc show up as Blue items.

they can also be yellowish.
click the fighter-in-box button on the bottom left corner. normally, i have it minimized.. well, click the button after selecting the wreck, and it'll give you teh blue prints of it. then there will be objects which you can target. the coloured objects are those that you can take. however goods don't show up. you have to click the i-in-circle at the top right corner. that gives you a short description and history of the wreck or the object you selected. that might give you an idea as to what is on it. say, if its a wrecked freighter, it might be left over some mining expedition, and might not have any guns on it, but the goods will still be intact.

This is currently registered with the FAA as a glider, and according to FAA records, it has no engine - which is technically true, if you ignore that large rocket in back.
