Do Nomads use their torpedoes?

In the intro the Nomads use their torpedoes to destroy Freeport 7, but do they ever use them in-game? I can't recall that happening, but it's been a while since I finished the plot.

Nope, you get a quick glimpse of Nomads destroying FP7. Order ships blew up the Rhineland cruiser Donau in mission 1.

you only see them for a thent a second, and if you havent seen a nomad you'll confuse them whit some after effect of the cloaking.

Stop reading this signature, and do something usefull, like playing Freelancer.
