Hey maybe the small animals from 1 Elite Mission will start spawning all over your screen....thought that was pretty quete, untill you fried them!

The expansion will not be like any of you supposes. In fact it will not even be an expansion to Freelancer, it will be a completely new game, called Freelancer Online, with persistant 13,95$/month servers, lots of eipc quests, sized like the complete SP storyline, tons of Quests sized like one mission of SP storyline, literally millions of different auto-generated missions. A galaxy sized 10 times as big, 100´s of ships to pilot, 1000´s of weapon/shield systems to use.

It will be what EnB tried to be but never reached...

lol, only j/k, i hope the next freelancer, whether expansion or sequel, will not be online only, for those of us living in backwater lincolnshire in the middle of nowhere, UK, it will be a great shame to have no more single player, so i hope FL never becomes completely MP..... only time will tell.....

The only thing i so wish to have is to be able to create a faction, lets say minimum 5 ppl to create 1, then u can buy/conquer urself a base, all of this, in MP of course, that would be soo , soo , soo awesome!
imagine, u come like to omicron tetha, and wish to land somewhere, then some player faction asks u to pay for the land.... etc, u will be able to earn money and deposit it in the base to buy some more base defenses and some weapons to be selled in ur base=SO COOL

Nomads will return.
But this time they will fight, they won't infiltrate into the colonies and control humans..
Trent, King, Juni and all the other old pals will be called by Orillion.
We will kick some Nomad ass with the Kosari, Breatonia, Liberty and the Rheinland.
Huge war coming up.

One more thing, this time Trent will kiss Juni or something like that will happen.

How about this :

30ish years after FL the player returns as the child of Trent and Juni - lets call him Luke (obviously there will be the option to play as a female in which case you will be called Leiya. Meanwhile strange things are afoot in Sirius, nobody really remembers 2 much about the nomads and the military play down rumours about the Dom Kavash ever having existed.

Luke/Leiya are secretly working for the Order who suspect the nomads have again infiltrated the governments. Tobias+King pop up ever now and then offering training and tales of by gone days.

Culminates with a big fight between Luke/Leiya and head nomad guy who turns out to be Trent.....

Or has somebody already done that?

You couldnt buy a Thargoid, but if you played First Encounters after about an hour or so you could find yourself in charge of a thargoid warship - which was way too powerful and ruined the whole game for you...

That's one thing i miss in Freelancer, you don't get a ranking. Someone should be able to tell just how experienced you are. I loved being "Elite" in David Braben's Elite.

I duno, I'm interested in that little tidbit that Van Pelt gives you about re-energizing the waning resources of liberty, and the accident. Also why dose the LSF need to be called in whenever a new trade lane or jump gate is put up???(ah rumor mills). What happenes with the hypergates?? Is there a coalition assault fleet heading for sirius?? Will the monkey and robots ever have anything to say?

i just relised something .... in the last mission u r fitted with that artifact and because it doesnt show they took if it of im asuming u can still use it
so in the expansion it will a spring board for humans to go find the nomads
