The game can''t end like that!

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

The game can''t end like that!

Wow, I just finished the main campaign in the solo game. It was truly awesome. Hard enough to be a challenge and easy enough to be an enjoyable game. The story is well driven for a space flying game. And the cinematics, even if they could look better, are well done ; and being made with the game engine they add a lot to the immersion.

But what an abrupt end!

- I thought Juni would marry Trent. Hey, why not ? They lived a lot of adventures together. Even if they don't openly admit it, they seem to both attract each other. Couldn't she at least give him a kiss, instead of a wink and a smile ?
- I thought Trent would become rich. But, no. Back to freelancing. Not because adventure is so addicting that he can't help to go back for more. But because he needs to live and he's as poor as when he arrived at Liberty (the ship apart). I would be him, i would use my celebrity to make money : earning millions for making show on TV, selling my biography or derivative products...
- I thought Trent would become famous. But no. Nobody knows him. The Liberty bartender reminded he had seen Trent's face on the news when he was just an anonymous from Freeport 7. Despite he saved the world, nobody in any space station tell him "hey, aren't you Trent ? I saw you on TV. May I have an autograph ?". No, they still say "Are you new here ?". Nobody knows him.
- I thought Trent could sometimes meet his friends (King for instance) again to remember the good old time. Even if they don't give any more missions, they could just say "Hello Trent, how are you ?". Trent can't meet them, they disappeared or they don't want to see him... "Thanks Trent, you were helpful when the world was in danger, but from now on everything is fine and we don't need you anymore!".

Ok, he saved the world. But no wife, no friends, no money, no celebrity. Just a crappy meddal to hang in his ship. This guy looks like some war veterans : true hero during the war, they sometimes become true loosers when the conflict is over... Shame the main campaign ends like that.

You're NOT a celeberty. The whole point of maintaining the Order is to keep watch on teh nomads COVERTLY. Remember, the majority of people in Sirius had no IDEA the whole Nomad thing was happening. They were only aware that suddenly, Rheinland and Kusari had begun acting strangely. If they were really paying attention, they might have noticed the weirdness in the Liberty military, but I wouldn't bet on anyone noticing that. Remember, the guys on that artifact-runner dude's cell were completely oblivious that anyone had ever been held prisoner there.

No one knows Trent - that's the point. They took a page from MIB and decided to keep the whole alien thing a big secret.

> I thought Juni would marry Trent. Hey, why not ?

Just 'cos they saved the universe together doesn't mean they gotta get hitched. Or have a one night. even.

What they should have done was have Juni hang out in the Manhattan bar. Whenever you show up, she should give you a hug and some info, like "Hey Trent, good to see you again." and then something like "I hear you're tight with the Corsairs now. I hope you're just scamming them long enough to get some good gear." or "You better watch yourself. I just heard a couple Bounty Hunters talking about the price on your head."

Same thing with Tobias. Except maybe for the hug.

I think half of GC should be falling for Trent...the saviour..

and factions that had been killed by hundreds by you alone should run for cover as enter a bar..

Surely the end is kinda good as it leads nicely onto a sequel/add on.but I couldn't agree more onyour point about the main characters disappearing by all accounts juni and king should be on liberty and some of the others on Leeds. But maybe they are all on the osirius or whatever it's called.

On the accept mission screen for the last mission, on the reward, it says the order will provide you with a new ship and equipment. But when you finish the campaign you don't get it! Has anyone got this "free" ship?

Too bad they didnt all die in a big explosion. I mean there are enough games out there with happy endings. But then if they all died then there wouldnt really be a need for an expansion pack relating to trent and all the others.

My issue was the Orillion statement "your our eyes and ears...." but what comes of it, nothing. I've spent more game time flying in circles finding wreaks and jump-holes than I did beating the game. Why are you lvl18 at the end of the final mission (unless you had stashed some cash, then you jump to lvl 38 immediatly) and then have 20 lvls to go before maxing out, but nothing to do other than run your own cargo routs and the usual kill the ships, blow up the stations, capute the goods/person missions.

The fat man strikes again
