super cruise mode

ur ship's cruise mode maxs out at 299/300 rite?

but if u r in cruise mode and see a ship about 2k away select it hit F4 (formartion) then ur ship magically finds an extra burst of speed(although ur ship HUD still displays 299/300) and u r on their tail in no time

the display in the HUD is hardcoded, it doesnt refer to the actual speed (i modded it to 500 and it still shows 300)

I always thought that it slowed the ship you were forming up with so you could catch up.

naw it most deff speeds u you up

cuz i was already in cruise going behind the path of a train
hit formation fit a ship that was about 2k away and went flying ahead o the train

This may be the method by which police and pirates are able to catch up to you to scan your cargo, even when you're at cruise speed... but, maybe they just cheat.
