Don't go there with Outcasts hostile; you are flying the best ship in the game (I think, anyway) but since you don't have a c10 shield (and I'll assume you have no c10 weapons, either) you should try to stay away from the Outcast systems until you can get at least neutral with them. Even with the most powerful ship/equipment/weapons it's never a good idea to take on a squad of sabres.

Actually, I survived Omicron Alpha in a Rheinland Valkyrie (mostly class 8 guns and class 8 positron shield), but yeah, I'll admit it's still a pretty dangerous place.

Personally, I'd recommand getting yourself some artifact weapons in Sigma 13 (or was it 17? The one with the huge Rheinland fleet debris field), preferably the Diamondback and Onyx.

Like mas' said a squad of sabres are bad ass even with a c10 load out. Its fun if ur looking for trouble but not on an exploring run. Still, there are other edge systems to check out - if you havnt already. Try exploring the south/south east areas of the sector if you are hostile with outcasts.

South in space? I must be mad.

Really, endless numbers of Sabres aren't that hard. I've gone in with my decked out Eagle and stayed there for half an hour just owning Sabre after Sabre. When I left I racked up around 50 kills and I still had 20+ shield batts and nanobots left :
But if you don't have a decked out eagle you should try to get neutral first. Go kill some Corsairs or Xenos or something.

You run into the Cosairs at the south east, plus all that radiation scare. That's another bad idea.

Personally, I got neutral with the Outcasts (as well as the Hessians, and earned a sizeable sum of money to boot) by just doing lots of missions for the IMG at Freistadt in Omega 7. Isn't too hard IMO - you'll mostly be fighting Centurions , and maybe a few Titans.

Thanks for the advice guys will try that. I'll go get myself a level 10 Shield. See how I manage.

I'm doing a bit of the exploring myself anyone know where to go to bribe the Outcasts? Oh and with a class 8 ship it is possible to go down to Omicron Gamma and make lot of $ to buy the Titan, just take missions that send back up.

as soon as ur neutral with the outcasts, get 100k and go to malta in omicron alpha, the barman there will put in a good word for you with the outcasts for that amount.

or just get an eagle (with c10 shields & weaps, of course) and do some missions for them; not only is it a great source of money, but it's great fun blasting all those Bounty Hunters
