Tegaki''s Fortress

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

o....k...., i dont want to look like im boosting my FL-playing ego here, but i personally thought that mission was pretty easy, it was great fun though but i didnt think it was very hard. I didnt bother destroying the battleship, just kept on flying round and shooting the generators, then flying off and repeating.....

now the fight after that where the entire nomad fleet (it seems) comes after you and blows the cr@p out of you, THAT was hard....

and on a completely unrelated note, when that guy sacrifices himself by flying into the rhienland shipyards where all the nomad battleships are, why do they ALL blow up? i didnt see what happened, to busy flying away so cud someone enlighten me please......

Some sort of chain reaction, I guess...maybe he crashed into the shipyard's power core and created a feedback into all the Nomad ships...then the resulting explosion was enough to set the rest off. Who knows.

Reaper: $200,000,000.
Rockets: $100,000
The look on that pilot's face when you launch a full pod of screamers up his tailpipe: priceless

Hint- DO NOT use slingshots. Useless. Try 4 catapults. Better yet, i never wasted missles on em. Just stay VERY close and concentrate fire on the generators. Try to fly in orbit around it and just keep shooting.

It's a breeze once you get the right equipment. I think that's the problem for those of us who have been beaten up by that mission and others. Using the wrong bird with inadequate firepower will get you killed more often than you can count. I've finally learned that the hard way!

For the Tekagi mission I had been using that little cracker box they sell on Kyoto base. I considered myself lucky if I made it through the first wave of fighters on my way to the Arch. By the time I got to the shield generators I was already badly beaten and out of shield batts! Using the Dromedary gave me superior fire power and greatly increased hull and shield strength over the cracker box. Not only was I able to knock out the generators and complete that mission, but I made it out with most of my batts and bots.

They say that married men live longer. It just seems longer[!

Firepower over manuverability, ahh yes... the age old debate. Is it better to draw the most guns to bear if the thing steers like a sloth? Is it worth taking the extra hits to dish out that much more firepower? Depends on the pilot, I suppose. Personally, I grabbed myself a heavy fighter, flitted about just out of gun range from the battle, and cut loose torpedo after torpedo, missile after missile, until all that remained was myself, Ozo, and the base. I normally just pop the gens and duck inside, but I lost my temper and stuck with the fight to the bitter end. It was intense, yet entertaining.... I suggest you fellas try it some time.

It is if the sloth comes standard with five turrets and three gun/missile mounts.

Listen to the advice from your friends... simple answer to this one is as you approach the fortress dive, and climb up the tunnel, the radiation isn't a problem, and your covered from everything bar the battleship... head for the first generator, then dive back down. Keep hopping in and out of the tunnel popping the generators, and your safe.

Now when i did this mission i did it in the hawk, no missiles, and no torpedoes... lost no shield batteries, no nano's, and basically ignored the battleship as it couldn't hit me for toffee...

Actually the worst moment was when i tried to dock with the wrong side of the arch and the autopilot flew me round the whole ring... DOH!...

(this mission looks great, just wish it lasted longer, as i love the whole idea of darting in and out of station support beams and internal structures with bandits on my tail... they could have done so much with it.)

Umm try this. The fighters are horrible shots and the battleships seems only to be able to provide "suppresive" fire. Just park in front of the shield generators and fire.
