the saber is on malta and u need to be like lvl 30

The sabre is also sold on Vogtland base in the Dresden system. Vogtland is owned by the Red Hessians, Malta by the Outcasts.

The Stiletto is on Bruschal Base in the Frankfurt system...dunno about anywhere else. Bruschal is a Bundschuh base.


Omicron Alpha is in the upper right corner of the universe map. It can be reached from Omicron Beta, Omicron Theta, and Tau-37.

Thanks the map is helpful. I found out where the base is the Saber can be bought in Franfurt. My new question is who can hack my rep so I can get close to the base without getting shot up. I am at level 28.

HAH... man I wish I thought of that.... I just been flying around dresden, picking fights with the right folks to get me on neutral terms with the RH, at least enough so I can land at the base and take missions to further improve my relations....

BTW a bit off topic, but anyone else get the ORDER ship and then upgrade to the Valkrie and then realize it sucks and the ORDER ship IS better?

Hmm, that's strange. I found Valkyrie to be one of the best HF next to the falcon (obviously due to its weapon load out).

Well, the quickest way to get the rep fixed for Sabre/Stilleto is get to CA > Magellan gate and start blasting away at Liberty Police until your rep with them returns to about a nuetral state. (This will naturally bring your rep w/ Lane Hackers and Outcast from hostile to border-line non-hostile).

Go to Lane Hacker's base in Magellan and start trafficing the Cardamine drug w/ Dromedary using the Magellan > New York jump hole until you got enough money (Lane Hacker's base > Planet Manhattan: 217250 for single jump trade means you'd end up with a million credit in an hour or less)

After you've acquired enough sums of money to get yourself a Sabre or Stiletto, (in this case, most likely Sabre first), head to Rogue's Buffalo base in New York and purchase yourself a dagger, and head to Omicron Alpha through Magellan > Leeds > route ( You could purchase Sabre in Hessian base, but the considering Omicron Alpha allows you to acquire 4 lvl 10 weapons, and possibly Nomad weapons in the same area, it would be much faster to just go to Omicron if you're looking quickly outfit the Sabre.)

After reaching Omicron Alpha, buy the Sabre, kill some Bounty Hunters in those 100k+ missions, pick up the goodies in a radiation field and you've gotten yourself a fully stocked Sabre.

The Valk wasn't bad, only because of the weapon level increase...
At that level though, I found it was fairly easy to take out most of the ships I was facing. Until that is... I got rid of the ORDER ship and got the Valkrie (with one less gun hard point and a turet that no longer will shoot forward. I ended up reloading an older save game and kept using the ORDER ship right up till I could get to Cadiz <--sp? and buy a Legionare...

At the time (due to my lack of searching for jump holes) it seemed like an easier task to just stay in Dresden rather then try and find that other base that sells the Sabre
