Fun Stuff post Level 38

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Fun Stuff post Level 38

What are some things you guys have been doing after you've become too good? When I mean "too good" I mean that even Nomads simply lack the AI skill to challenge you. Please post your ideas for creative missions to interest the elite masses (<--oximoron).

One idea I've heard: Buy a Startracker, sell all of the guns, the nanobots and the batteries and fly across the galaxy.

One idea I've just thought of: Try to reach the Alaska jumpgate and exit the adjacent minefield in the lowest time possible.

Try to land on a Red Giant and survive

I like squeezing between stars that are fairly close together, listening for the inevitable "Warning! Entering sun's corona!"

All joking aside, I've found exploring to be loads of fun. Changing my faction likes/dislikes just by killing others, and when I want to mellow everyone out, I kill Xenos. It's fun to play with the politics a bit and gather a more intuitive understanding of how the reputation calculations work. It's absolutely amazing how fast criminals will love you when you start killing bounty hunters. (WOW!)

The difficult we do immediately; the impossible just takes longer.

did all of you get to those levels by trading using the Humpback?

I took up mining. For instance Gold in the Molly Gold Field in Dublin. It's got unminable (read- explosive) mines too! Someone ought to tell the Molly fighters though.

playing with the factions is cool, but how the hell do I get the zoners to like me, the one listed bribe I found isn't there after 20 minutes of docking and undocking...

Xander

If it moves, shoot it... If it doesn't, shoot it anyway.

do what i do and wage war on a faction... first it was the bhunters i wiped out every turret on there bases

now i am moving on to reinland.... maybe GMG next though they are toughest to kill

Meh

I've payed bribes to get friendly with the zoners many times, unfortunately, I'm not sure where, probably at one of the freeports, either FP 1, FP 2, FP 5 or FP 9, I think.

Please refrain from discussing your faction reputations here. This isn't what this post is for. Neither is it for whining about non-existant bribes. This is not for people looking to level up. This is for people who have gotten bored and want to find something new to do.

Some new things: Try going into Sigma-13 and engaging GMG pilots. Just hang around without killing anything until you have a LOT on your tail. Then thrust into the explosive gas cloud. If you've got a level 10 shield you should be able to go straight with the turret view facing back, or you can weave around. Try to run the GMG pilots into the gas clouds and watch as they get annihilated. Ha.

Trying to smuggle goods through Liberty with a humpback and no guns/thruster/shield/Cruise button is somewhat of a challenge depending on how many times you get inspected.

Keep posting people.

Try to get neutral with all factions.........again?

Some people mine diamonds, others, gold.

me? I mine liberty rouges in the Badlands.

another fun one. goto liberty, find some lvl 1 dood, and when he goes on a base attack mission, take out the base in 1-2 shots. Their reactions can be PRICELESS.

Give a lvl 1 n00b 5 million dollers. see what he does with it. a lvl 38 player in the weakest fighter in the game. LMAO. Works best if its someone that knows NOTHING about FL. follow him around, see what he does with it.

raid all cargo vessles in liberty.

dogfight backwards. (Ala, holding the X key)

Block access to planets. (Sit in the rings)

Kill a Corsair, kill a bounty hunter, repeat. funny watching the love/hate relationship going on there.

use sunslayers on Newark station. (Preferably when n00bs are launching/docking. )

help a guy complete a mission, and after its over, kill him too. (Heh, he earns 5000 from your help, and is saved the flight home! LMAO)

Lately I've just been looking for a good fight. I'm sitting in the highest radiation zone I've found, fighting waves of Hussains in VHF, (Waves of 12 sometimes)...and I've yet to use a sheild bat. Typeing while fighting kinda helps make it a bit more interesting...

Yes, let's be utter bastards and ruin other people's fun because, hey, it's not like they bought the game to enjoy it. Assbeef.

heh, its not like he loses anything. And he gains X amount of money very quickly.

Post Sun Apr 20, 2003 4:10 pm

I like the helping someone then killing them idea, they would be sooo pissed off but then realise it didnt really matter

There's also the star in one of the unknowns that gives off no radiation, you can fly right up to it and bounce off it, makes a nice SS.

Ali G - "Do you fink man will eva walk on the sun?"
Buzz Aldrin - "No, the sun is too hot. It is not a nice place to go."
Ali G - "Not even in da winter wen da sun is cold?"

If you wanna try making things hard , land on a planet without going to the docking ring
