Nomads and Omicron Alpha

Well, after the hypergate was activated and the nomads were sucked into it, it was time to pay a little visit to the Omicron Alpha jump point. Since the game set the Outcasts as hostile and refitted them with lots of well armed Sabres, so it isn’t easy. But after the “unknown” jump gate, there are the nomads again, with infinite fighters on an empty system, just a jump away from the colonies. What’s the deal with that?

Beats me. I don't think the two Unknown systems have a real purpose.

Perhaps they have to do something with the expansion pack, but I think it is more or less an easter egg made my Digital Anvil.

I personally think that they havent been discovered yet by anyone so they haven't been namedyet because they haven't been discovered.

They have been discovered. The map makes it clear that it is a known fact that the oucasts have graveyard on that place. Such place is arond the "unknown" jump point.

But the real question is how there are still nomads out there if they were sucked in the hypergate. And where are they coming from, since the system is completely empty and useless.
