New Florida

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

New Florida

Well if u havnt noticed on the box. Which i've read a thousand times. On the inside flip thing theres a log about Trent running from Eco-terrorists near or in New Florida. I was wondering if that exsists or not.

No I don't think it does... though maybe that city top left box (NOT THE VALK) is it... Perhaps it's one of the removed systems cause I think DA lbutchered this game in size and such. Like the current SPC was only supposed to be Act 1...

damn DA. THEY HAVE BERING BUT NOT MY HOME STATE? anyway what are eco-terrorists? or are they nonexsistant.

Eco-Terrorists, sounds like the Gaians and perhaps the Xenos. Gaians are against all terraforming and changing of planets natural likeness other than building structures.

The city in the box scene is the spa and cruise planet baden baden in the stuttgart system.

there are many features on the box that dosn't appear in the game. I think alot was taken out of the game before it was relesed but they forgot to tell the packaging people. If you want to get picky about it sue for false advertisement.

If I had a nickel for every time someone told me that my idea of building a giant robotic parrot out of melted down coins was a bad idea, I would have one kick a$$ giant robotic parrot.

What a major whine topic....

I especially like the "damn DA" comment....if you're all mad cause they didn't include your home state, then join the legions of other Americans, Germans, Japanese, and English who don't live in an area included in the game. That and the whole rest of the world...I don't see a "New Kenya" system in there, but no one's whining about that, are they?

The Eco-Terrorists are the Gaians. To a certain extent the Outcasts also qualify because of the debilitating effects of Cardamine. However, the Gaians are the primary ones. No, they never do anything - you don't need to worry about weathering an eco-based attack.

The true definition of an eco-terrorist is one who fights using violent and un appealing methods for the enviroment. The Gains name implies they are eco-terrorists sinc Gaia is a type of planetary environment. As for the Outcast that is debatable even with the effects of Cardamine on their bodies that does not make them eco-terroists however it does make them drug abusers. So where is the Narco portion of the polices to control that.

Gaia is more like the Spirit of the Earth / The Earth Embodied. An Eco-Terrorist best dream would be to do something like wipe-out a city/planet and return the land to the earth.

Edinbrugh is the closest to my town unless we have Dundee (Hasn't been to Edinbrugh System yet)

They also mention Chicago on the inside cover of the box. It says "Chicago LIberty" on the left side in the middle. That would be closest to my home. However, I'm fairly certain after exploring all over in MP, that it does not exist. Can anyone confirm/deny?

i think we should post a topic called "where is my hometown?" in the freelancer discussion forums... there everyone will have a chance to complain...

I wasn't complaining, simply stating. I'm genuinely interested, does anyone know if Chicago does or does not exist?

Hehe, and don't forget Gunter, Rhineland or any other thing on the box.. The trade contracts perhaps. All you can do is pretend you actually have a contract. Im begining to think that the freelancer universe IE, sirius actually has more systems per house. They just didnt put them in. Just like in the story based missions. Never had to goto half of the systems in single player. They just needed a couple extra systems so you could actually explore like they said. ;0 And no Chicago doesnt exist as a system you can actually visit in game. But might indeed exist in story line.

Post Thu Apr 17, 2003 11:49 pm

There is no Chicago system. The only systems are the ones everyone knows about, unless there's some incredibly-well-hidden secret out there.

Post Thu Apr 17, 2003 11:59 pm

Well, there are still quite a few systems left to be explored in Sirius and with the hypergates up and running....Hmm..time to establish a colony, the Manitoba system, I'll found Winnipeg, its orbiting station Brandon, north next to a big nebula (The Hudsons Nebula) will be Border Station Churchill with a tradelane going to the Nunavut System Jump Gate...now for the rest of the provinces...
