Easiest path from Newbie to Pro

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Easiest path from Newbie to Pro

The downer part of this game is that when we move from server to server in search of adventure and freinds, we leave our ships behind and have to start all over from square one.

Does anyone know the shortest steps from starting over on a new server to doing pretty darn good? I know it can't be hauling Luxury foods from Cambridge to Manhattan cuz for a newb, you've a one in 50 chance you'd survive.

The most important thing to remember is that you dont have to fight. If a trade lane gets disrupted simply select the next link in the trade route and avoid the incoming fire. Once it comes back online make a run for the trade lane by flying as close to the center of it as possible before pressing dock. If you fly into the right place you will instantly dock with the trade lane without the need for the autopilot to guide you and you wont take incomign fire whilst docking.

I do this on every server im new to with a simple cheap rhino freighter and i find a good trade route to earn 250k... Once I have that I buy a humpback or dromedary and run this trade route mentioned in this thread--->

2 Hours of trading is all it takes usually to get to level 38.

Also i neglected to mention that you should aim for the outgoing trade lane and not the other one that goes back where u came from... You can tell which ones which by the red or green flashing lights on them or you should just remember if you went in the top or bottom one to begin with.

Imo they should have made the trade lanes run side by side with outgoing traffic always going in at the same side... Much easier to remember!
