Kraken Type 2 is the best lvl9 gun. You should get rid of your DIAMONDBACKS and but some nomad weapons in there, such as nomad energy cannons, Which have a (847 * 3.03) = 2566.41 damage/sec. compared to the DIAMONDBACK's 2150? damage/sec.

DBacks and Cereberus both do 2346 dam/sec. With 2 BD and 2 Cer, you're doing 9384 hull per second versus 10,264 DPS with 4 Nomad Cannons....

Considering that most ships don't even have 9300 hull, and I'd say you're being nitpicky.

My favorite VHF setup is now:

(01) Tizona del Cid (class 9, refire rate 4, anti-shield)
(02) Cannonball Missile (class 9, most destructive)
(03) Nomad Energy Blaster (class 10, refire rate 4)
(04) Nomad Energy Blaster (class 10, refire rate 4)
(05) Nomad Energy Blaster (class 10, refire rate 4)
(06) Nomad Energy Blaster (class 10, refire rate 4)
(07) Salamanca Turret (class 9, refire rate 4)
(08) Hornet Cruise Disruptor (so much more useful than the Sunslayer Torpedo)
(09) Ripper Mine (most destructive)
(10) Adv. Countermeasure Dropper (obviously)

(mind the sync'ed gun/turret refire rates)

Adv. Brigadier Shield H.F. (class 10)
Adv. Thruster

Nomad Weapons are occasionally dropped by Nomad Fighters when you destroy them. The chance a Nomad Weapon is dropped is random and depends on your level. It must be well beyond level 32. Nomad Fighters can be found attacking you in both the Unknown Systems and around the gates connecting to these systems from Omicron Alpha and Omicron Gamma.

Is it just me, or are all the Border World and unknown systems really eerie? Even when you're friends with everyone there, even the ones not plastered in radiation, they still seem like places you don't want to hang around in...
