.... I have more than enough credits to buy a titan ship but i need to befriend the corsairs before i can land on the planet. Im assuming the only way to go about this is have someone hack my rating for them but where are the best places for that? If thats not the way then please help me...
I still need help though.... my rep with the corsairs is not that good right now so not a single one of those on the list under corsairs is there right now. I gather from that thread that you sometimes have to hack other reps before rep hacking with another group becomes available. So who do i have to bribe before I can get to the corsairs?
Cham, it does.
The Killing Xenos to improve your reputation with the Corsairs thing.
The fact is. No one likes the Xenos. The Zoners are the "closest ones" to them. But they have only a simpathy for the Xenos, so if you kill a lot of Xenos ships, your reputation with the Zoners won't go to hostile.
If you keep killing Xenos ship after Xenos ship. And I mean killing more than perhaps 500 of them, you are able to get a good relationship with every other criminal faction. It will be hard to do, but it seems possible. You certainly can get them all to neutral.
As for more enemies of the Corsairs; blowing up ships of their northern rival Outcasts will also help. But bribing is easier/faster. Zoners will often provide the Corsairs bribe.

Not everyone hates the Xenos....For instance, I don't believe that Bretonia Law (police or navy) hate Xenos much if at all.
Here - the list of people you don't DIRECTLY improve by killing Xenos, ripped straight from empathy.ini:
Bretonia Police
Bretonia Armed Forces
Bretonia Mining and Minerals (BMM)
Bundschuh (your rep will actually DROP with these guys for killing Xenos)
Corsairs
Daumann Heavy Construction
Gateway Shipping
Gas Miner's Guild (GMG)
Independant Miner's Guild (IMG)
Kusari State Police
Kruger Minerals
Rheinland Military
Rheinland Federal Police
Liberty Navy
Planetform Inc.
Synth Foods (Your Rep will DROP from killing Xenos)
Zoners (Your rep will DROP from killing Xenos)
Note that this list doesn't tell you the ACTUAL effect of killing Xenos. For instance, the Corsairs will begin to like you more, even they're listed in empathy as completely uncaring. Why? Two reasons - one, is that the Xenos HATE everyone other than Synth, the Zoners, and the Bundschuh. Since Corsairs are hated BY the Xenos, your rep will go up (they understand the principle of "enemy of my enemy, friend of mine". Second, you may be directly raising your rep with factions the Corsairs like (though I don't think this is the case with Corsairs).
However, killing Xenos can hurt your reps. For instance, killing them does nothing directly for Bretonia Police. However, you do raise your rep a bit with a decent amount of factions that hate the xenos which the Police DO hate. For instance, killing Xenos to raise your corsair rep will piss off the Bretonia Police slowly. In reality, this is negated by the fact that you're raising your Bowex rep, but the concept remains true.

There is no cascading influence on your various reps.
If you kill a faction, then all you get is a better rep with those other factions that have a negative empathy value defined for that faction. You will NOT get any effects based on the initial effect.
An example:
Faction A has antipathy (-0.4) for Faction E
Faction B has antipathy (-0.2) for Faction E
Faction C has sympathy (+0.2) for Faction E
Faction D has antipathy (-0.3) for Faction A
Faction E has sympathy (+1.0) for Faction E (naturally)
(with all other factions they are +/- 0.0)
If you kill Faction E now, you get a better rep with Faction A and B, and a worse rep with Faction C and of course E. However, you will NOT get a worse rep with Faction D just because you got friendlier with Faction A through killing Faction E.
There is no cascading.
Having reminded everyone of this, Corsairs have neither sympathy nor antipathy for the Xenos (+/- 0.0). So you can go kill Xenos all day long, your rep with the Corsairs will NOT move an inch.
