How do it befriend the junkers or get neutral

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Check out Haenlomal's excellent post on reputations :

If you're neutral with the junkers, land at any of their bases and you'll definately get a bribe offer (if not the first time just keep switching between the bar and the landing deck - the bribes change). If you're not at least neutral with them start blasting their enemies until you are. Failing this you'll probably be able to get a bribe if you land at a base owned by someone in their 'sympathy' list and the junkers are active nearby.

Cheapest , easiest and most "legal" way would be to blow up Xenos en masse.

I just attack the Bounty Hunters. Then you get several allies in exchange for one. I thought it was a sweet deal . I was branching into piracy anyway...

No offense, but killing Hunters is a pretty dumb way to do it. First off, it'll slowly knock your reps with all navies/police into oblivion. Second, if the Hunters are hostile to you, they will be Hostile to you EVERYWHERE, and there's only about 5-10 systems they're not in (a good chunk of those are Tau's and Sigmas, systems no one really cares about). Lastly, if the Hunters go agro on you, a good chunk of other people will to. This carries a domino effect. Ever notice how if a certain company (say, Samura) hates you and you go near a Samura vessel, they start to attack...as well as everyone around them? THis effect works on Hunters too. Having a hostile Hunter near you causes almost all Bretonia factions to go temporarily hostile as well as a good chunk of other factions.

It's just not worth pissing off the Hunters...

I agree with Nightsilver on the bounty hunters. Once you've finished SP all the interesting systems are full of BHG. They have decent enough ships and you can easily find yourself getting attacked by packs of 15+ them if you're unlucky. Considering you're proabably just off to do some exploring or general travel it is a big waste of time to pick them all off. Saying that though they do drop some sweet weapons (for selling) so if you are still leveling up it can be fun.

If i am trying to get friendly with a faction i will usually try and pick a bit on all of their enemies, avoiding going hostile with anyone, though its hard to judge because a group of factions with a common enemy will usually be sympathetic to each other - meaning even if you attack the first till you are low/neutral with them by the time you piss off the last you can be hostile with them all anyway.

Galactic diplomacy - just how would we do it without massive guns?
