Lucky for us freelancers, at the time we get in with the order, the Anubis heavy fighters have been overstocked. So as a last minute speacial deal you can purchase an Anubis for (actual) dealer cost. Now normally the anubis would sell at MSRP for 54,000 credits. But in a strange move in total honesty, the dealers will sell you one for 100 credits (the actual cost of the vehicle).

This is to in no way imply that ship dealers would rip you off on the purchase price by jacking up their prices beyond normal planetary orbits, then reducing the overall price a tiny amount to demonstrate to you the amazing savings you just received.

Guess that about covers it, hehe.

Although some similiarities may be observed between this post and certain Auto dealing agencies. This post bears no resemblance to auto dealers existing or dead. Any similiarities are purely conicidence.

The sell you shields and equip. super cheap too, but because you're such a generous soul when you go to sell them off anywhere you only ask for a percentage of the price you originally paid... probably to stop you taking the piss out of their 'mates rates' and making a fortune from it. Although saying that i'm sure you only get a handful of chances to dock with that battleship so it probably wouldn't hav given you much of a get rich quick scam anyway.

What I wonder, is the Anubis really available for purchase on those two Order planets (Gammu and Primus) when you get friendly with The Order (by pissing off most of the other factions).

Yes they are very nice aren't they. Since I posted this, I've been back on FL and finished the story! I'm only on level 17amd I'm still in my Anubis. They kept telling me they had no time to lose (mid mission), so I kept on going. I'm suprised it was so short.

I'm going for an insurance job on my Anubis. I'm sure I'll get at least $30,000 book price.

I would actually guess it's so cheap because of what Orillion said to you....he basically says you can have anything you need practically free, which ends up bneing truth. It's a need situation..if you lose, the humanity is screwed....I guess the dealers figure they can price gouge later and make damned sure you win this one battle.

As far as I know, Primus and Gammu do not sell anything...ever. At least, not in MP - I never went there in SP.

The reason they sell you the ship so cheap is the same reason all your final missions don't pay anything. The reward is not profit, it is the survival of humankind!

Yeah, the Anubis is a bit of a dog. I'm going to leave the keys in the ignition on planet Manhattan, so if anyone wants to steal it from me there's some dollars in it for you. Just fly it in to the sun (remember to bail out before it burns). I'll come and pick you up once my insurance money comes through and I can afford a new ship.

That insurance thing sounds like a quick way to lose money...with the cost of cargo and the rate people tend to die at...it sounds like you're asking for bankrupcy =P

Ajim, a side note - if you care, the quote you use in your sig is "I don't wanna end up a corpse before my time because you were daydreaming". Also, it's said by most every faction out there, not just the Corsairs

I used Anubis but when i finished the game i advanced from 17 to 23!!!!!!
