All Mining Zones Table

Freelancer Commodity Mining Zones

For all you miners out there, here is a listing of all the zones that can produce various commodities.

The Probability column lists the chance of mining the particular commodity from the zone. Sorry for the formatting, but it wouldn't take the HTML code I had it in. Email me if you'd like a ".txt" version.

Recommend using only one gun to shoot your targets as too much firepower might also destroy what you are after. Use the Loot Filter and/or watch for the Loot Symbol in your lower right portion of your HUD.

Note: this data comes from the Freelancer Strategy Guide. Enjoy!

thanks, I'm going for some Niobium

Dude, where's my Super Star Destroyer?

Very nice.

Thanks very much! That's very useful for those of us with the patience and inclination for mining. I had thought that the very different results I got in various locations were just luck, entirely random; it's interesting--and handy--to see that the probabilities are different by area.

Sweet. This will make earning cash easier for those times when you're flat ass broke. I hate it when I sink all my money in a cargo and then the pirates bum-rush me. I swear to god they KNOW when I can't afford to die.

amen to the bbrock... they Know when all your money is in your hold. don't ask me how.

I wonder if Datastorm has mining info in it? I know that Darren of the Freelance Cargo Calculator (v 1.1.0.7) put official strategy guide in his utility... and I found over 400 mistakes (out of 6118 datapoints) when I compared it against commodity info I snarfed from the LR site. (I emailed the corrections to him a day ago; he ought to be updating it soon.) Compare how Holger of Datastorm fame showed me how to look in Datastorm data which is drawn straight from the game (it's just an Access .mdb that's made when you run it)... and I found no mistakes at all. Ok, except for 265 rounding errors that were off by 1, heh. Anyway, the strat guide might have mistakes for mining info, as well.

Hmm, I just checked Datastorm and don't seem to see mining info in there... I could be missing it.

Not in it.

if only you can have a mining mode in freelancer where the turrets just sort blows up anything mineable and beam it aboard..

We'll have player running through with turrets shooting all around...at least, there's some use for the turrets..

...and if we are going to work together, call me Juni (wink)...

...yeah, you can call me Trent, Trent the desperate dull square jaw who just lost a million credits..
