Destroyed trade lane in Dublin

There is a destroyed remanent of a trade lane to the north west of the Battleship Hood in Dublin. Who knows why it is there? I can't remember it being mentioned in the plot, and its orientation doesn't point towards anything.

Don't they mention something about that during the Dublin SP mission? I think it's somewhere along the lines of it getting abandoned because of constant attacks by the Corsairs and Mollies in the area, the same way Battleship Hood was abandoned. My guess is they were trying to build a trade lane to a jump gate leading to Edinburgh. I don't have a shred of proof for any of this though.

EDIT: Or else they were trying to build a trade lane to one of the gold-rich asteroid fields, although the one near the Hood has already been depleted so I'm not sure. Or maybe that's why they abandoned it? Because they ran out of gold? *shrug*

That trade lane led to the Mining Station Glorious on Mission Six.

Do u remember the guy u raced saying that the trade lane is damaged and sometimes astroids get through? Thats where it comes in on the plot.
