Corsair buddies?!!

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Corsair buddies?!!

I've checked out the REP HACK LIST trying to get buddy with the Corsairs (im after getting the Titan ship), but I cant find anyone to bribe. Im currently in the process of checking out all the Freeports but has anyone got any further advice. Ive also tried becoming friendly with the Junkers so in turn i can bribe the corsairs but no joy. Money is burning a hole in my pocket and needs to be spent on a ship!!!!

Seems to be some problems from time to time with rep hacking, some say might be faction based with the npc who would be doing the hacking. If not, you can always go the (kill red hessians/xenos/outcasts) route. You only need to be passing friendly to get the ship and shields.

Thanks.....I've tried looking for bribes at Sigma-13 (for corsair bribes) and frankfurt (for junkers bribes) but always end up with bribes for Waste disposal or Rheinland Police etc...its getting frustrating (plus my girlfriend is moaning because I'm spending too much time on the game!!! - but hey...its addictive!!!)

u dont have to be "buddy" with the corsairs to buy ships, barely neutral is enough.
u can kill bountyhunters to get them neutral and then kill some xenos to get the hunters back to neutral.

I think I just made them neutral by killing bounty hunters, then bribed them at.... Leon Station, maybe? I'm sure there's probably a bribe somewhere there between Leon, Tripoli, and Crete. Are they already hostile to you? Because a group being hostile significantly decreases the bribes available, because I'm pretty sure that you won't be able to bribe corsairs to fix your rep, just bartenders, seeing as they have no allies.

Try Freeport 9 (or was it 9?)... the one in Omicron Theta.

Your best bet is to hack away at Red Hessiens until you get the Corsairs into a neutral state. If you want you can also attack Bounty Hunters too but I used the BOunty Hunter missions on Solarius Base in Omega 11 to whack away at enough Hessiens to improve my Corsair rep. Worked for me.

Oon-tee-dee!

Thanks so far.......I was trying a minute ago to get to a jump hole from Sigma 13 to Sigma 17 - jump hole is in F5. Problem is I just blew up because of the surrounding atmosphere / air. Any ideas? Has anyone managed to get there?

Basically...im trying to get to Freeport 9

Well i got good with the corsairs by bribing the Zoners. It didnt make much sense to me until i finally read their profile. The have no enemies, so i guess that means that when you bribe them you get misc stats from the others. However i wasnt getting good with them for the titan, Im comfortable with my Sabre. But i was flying with a friend of mine and had to help him to get to that point.

Well... I am friendly with only the L. Navy and I'm enemy with only the Mollys... why do the Corsairs hate me? I did nothing to them!!!

I lurve freelancer[!

For complete "What happens to my rep with (insert faction name here) when I whack (insert faction name here)?" go to this file in the downloads section. It has the mathematical relationships for all factions. There's also the same sort of table in the Freelancer Strategy Guide.
