help please...SP, currently at lvl 10, tired of doing cheap

I'm playing SP mode and am at level 10. I currently have a Crusader (Heavy Fighter) which kind of sucks. Weird enough, I found that the Defender was better. Anyway. I currently have 7,000 credits which sucks even more. I'm tired of doing stupid-ass 5,000 credit missions.

Basically, I need advice. At THIS POINT in the game, what should I do to make more money ?

I need details...like best ship I could use, what strategies I can do to make money faster than lame cheap missions giving me 5,000 credits.

Forgot to mention, I just finished mission #5.

Not at home, so can't get to specific, but you will most likely have to do a few more missions to get a money base. But trading is by far the easiest way to make money. If you can get to neutral with the lane hackers you can go to, think is Mactan base in Megellan and get a dromidary freighter, then spend a bit of time doing some trade runs. There are some safe ones already posted in this forum.

Didn't start a trader type till was already through sp, so not familiar enough with that area to give you any good ideas. But sure are others here can help out.

Go into corsair legion you can make some 50 000$ mission (if you want to play some level 30 mission)

Yeah, you can't even get close to any of their bases until after SP is over (since they deny you access to jump gates and such), so disregard that post. Pretty much the only way to make quick money in SP is to find some good trade routes. I can't tell you any off the top of my head, but you should be able to find some either in these forums or by looking in the commodities section of this site.
