Unbeatable Odds AFTER beating the Nomads??

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Unbeatable Odds AFTER beating the Nomads??

I recently finished with the storyline, and kept the Anubis fighter with the best equipment and started going on trade runs to rack up loads of cash (which has gone well).

I just made a run out to the Tau-31 Gate Construction site and sold off some Beryllium to make a huge profit. But now, every time I launch back into space, the Outcasts are attacking with so many ships that the button on the scrollbar in the contacts list is just a tiny sliver-- there must be 50+ of them, seriously. Absolutely no friendly ships around, so every one of them starts attacking me as soon as I'm out of the dock. I managed to haul ass and make it into the jumpgate with my Anubis flaming and having no batteries or nanobots left.

I got out of the other side of the gate and there's another HUGE fleet of Outcast ships blasting the hell out of me. I've reloaded my saved game 5 separate times now and it's always the same thing. (and yes, this is really happening, it's April 2nd now anyway. :p )

Anubis...yeah right...check the stats in the ship section. And see what kind of ships the Outcast are flying. Yours is nowhere near equal to their fighters.

Start killing liberty police/navy, and the outcast should be your friends..

Outcasts forever!

Yup... the Anubis looks fancy but that's about it. If you wanna survive in the borderworlds you'll need something better than that. Concerning the Outcasts: they are my best friends so no trouble there.

Yep, need to be real sure of who's space your going to be in before taking an anubis there, best you can do is afterburner slide out of there and find a safe place. But except for sp campaign, and not really sure there, never seen 50+ of any single type in one spot. Was jumped at a gate once by about 10-12 hessians once, think a group was heading there, one was stationed there, and another jumped in during the fight. End result was the same, lots of dead hessians, hehe.

Will throw some good luck your way, think you might need it here, hehe

If you want to get in good with EVERYONE, just go to Ouray Base in Colorado and hunt Xenos. You can literally be full green with every faction after hunting Xenos for 2 or 3 hours. Then you can explore the border worlds at your leisure and make some money to buy a better ship.

I did it for so long that Nomads are neutral to me. Perfect for me to creep up right behind them and then wipe them out!

How long? 4 hours?

I use the Hudson system's Xeno base...I stabbed them in the back doing it, though. See, Xenos were neutral to me. I ran them a load of light arms, launched, then started shooting them to hell. Trade lanes are the easier, faster way though. Hackers, Outcasts, Corsairs, and Rogues go neutral quickly from shooting trade lanes. Then you can just take some bribes.

My biggest problem was in sigma-17...I decided that since I had a Sabre, I could go just about anywhere...then a group of 20 or so Centurions jumped me on the other side. I ran straight back through the jumpgate with my tail between my legs.

Reaper: $200,000,000.
Rockets: $100,000
The look on that pilot's face when you launch a full pod of screamers up his tailpipe: priceless

Officer: "Freelancer, what happened to the transport you were escorting?"
Me: "He told me my ship looked wierd...I invited him to have intimate relations with my SunSlayer"

I didn't know it was even possible to change rep w/nomads. Weird.
