I am with ya on this one...they are a real pain in the ass if you piss them off. It's a bit ridiculous. At least with other factions you can try to avoid them or they are limited to certain systems, but the damn BH's are everywhere. I always save the game before I bribe, and after one bribe to get me popular w/another pirate (I think Hessians, I was already green w/Corsairs, Outcasts, Dragons, GC's) the BH's started wanting to kick my ass. I got so damn sick of messing with it (I didn't keep geting killed it was just a royal pain) that I reloaded the save just before the bribe. I'd much rather have to kill a few Hessians in 3 systems than 20 BH's in EVERY system!

mououhahahaha! i love slapping around those bounty hunter bit**es,they get my fighter/kill tally up pretty fast! of course ive got the best ship and weapons available,but then, i had to fight my way up to get where i am now,keep on working at it! kill 'em all!

I hunt down Bounty Hunters religiously. It's a personal vendetta.
OK, here's the story.

In the SP campaign, I was chumps with the B.S.; I was doing mission for them; I was shouting them drinks, every port, every planet, every station I would shout them drinks. When I take on "assassination" missions for them, I would kill the targetsas required AND THEN kill all the targets' cronies FOR FREE! That's how much the friendship meant to me.

Y'see, I was planning for the future. Maybe one day I'll give up the lifestyle of being a freelancer and settle down with a faction. My 2 prefered choices were the B.S, & the G.C. Yeah, I know the G.C were a female only organization, but hey I was so green with them that they probably would have taken me on as an hononary member. Think about it, an Japanese chicks-only organzation & I am the ONLY guy. Hey I'm sure they get lonely with only 1 base.

And if you read the news and such, you'll read about the female uni students disillusioned with the Kusari government so that join the G.C. Think about it. Asian young college chicks! Freelancer delivers what SPAM promises! Wow!!!

Anyway, back to Bounty Hunters. My backup plan was to join the B.S. so I did my best to be chums with them. Then the LSF head got invaded by the Nomad and declared me a criminal and put a bounty on me, just because I had the alien artifact, the ONE Alien Artifact -- to Rule Them All!

So Juni & I have to escape from Liberty & travel to the Land of Mordor so we can throw the One Artifact into the fires on Mount Doom while being pursued by the Liberty Navy. And what did my good chums the B.S do? Did they offer me a safe passage? Did they offer me a hiding place like Gimli (Tobias) did? NO!!! They bloody tried to kill me! The "bounty" was just an excuse to kill me cause I beat them at poker the other night, the bastards!!!

So now, wherever I go. I repay their treachery. And also because they always make excuses when it's their turn to buy a round.
