GREAT idea for those of you who are high level like me. . .
For those of us that have killed everyone, have our rep exactly how we like it, and everything else has become reletively "been there, done that" and have a titan or some high level ship, and have gotten moderately bored . I have an idea.
I am an extreme individualist. Sure I have friends, and like the company of other intelligent individuals, but I don't really 'need' them for a lack of a better word. So for those of you that require to consistantly be considered the 'best', this might not work for you.
Go back to Manhattan, and buy yourself a starflier/startracker. Yeah, that extremely low level light fighter that you started out with. Buy yourself any types of equipment you'd like, since obviously you would have the cash to buy yourself a FLEET of Startrackers. Then, once equiped, go about doing the things you normally would do in your titan/high level ship. The challenge not only gets EXTREMELY exciting, but it gives me (personally) a level of playability that most high level ships pass up. It makes me test my skills to an extreme level. How many ships of what level can I kill with reletive ease? What kind of ships, in what kind of numbers, can I kill, but with only a few hull points left? It gives not only scaleability, but it has, for me, an almost addictive venue to rise up through the levels again. . .even though I have the cash to buy myself my Eagle back again, and I've kept all my level 10 special issue weapons in my cargo . .its just . . I cannot discribe the addictive and exciting feel it gives for the game again. .
All in all, its just a suggestion. But do you remember when you first acended out of Manhattan's atmosphere? Do you remember when you only had those one or two first level weapons? Flying around taking on rouges or anybody who tried to attack you? Remember when you were scared $hitless of those with just one or two level higher weapons? I do. And if you miss that, or want it again, then just go back. heh No need to reload a saved game. . just buy that low level ship, outfit it. . .and do your best to survive.
Just my opinion.
