After some poking around in the .ini files, I found the one that describes the shield types, and the one that lists what equipment bases sell. Therefore, I can state unequivocally that if you were able to buy a c10 "Adv. Champion" shield, you were using modified .ini files, because the stock .ini files only have c10 "Adv. Brigandine" shields available at some bases. You might also have picked one up from a buddy who acquired it using hacked .ini files. Now, it's a relatively trivial matter to add the other shield types to the base equipment lists, of course; but the fact remains that you're game has been hacked. So, if you're going to play a hacked game, why not go all out and modify the shield you're using to have, say, 50,000 capacity, with a regen of 50,000, thereby making you practically invincible? Heh, sorry, don't mean to flame... that c10 Graviton IS pretty sweet... but, perhaps you see my point.
