Do you like any ships better than the eagle, sabre, and tita

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Evade... evade... it doesn't sound like your friend tried to evade; more like he tried to engage immediately, and got cut up in the cross-fire. When I come out of a jump into a fur-ball, I don't just target the nearest guy and start plinking. Evading fire requires you to see it coming at you, and you can't see in all directions at once. I start jinking with turns and thrust spurts until I pull away from the pack a bit, dropping c/m as needed, and can then start, uh, addressing the enemies in a more manageable fashion.

One time, on a high-paying mission I took from the Corsairs to increase my rep with them, I had to get some kinda plans from a Bounty Hunter guy. I went out to the mission waypoint in my Titan, dealt with his "cronies" (as you often have to do before getting to the target and his escorts), and then went after the target... who tried to rabbit after his shields were down. So, I gave chase. And where do you think he was headed? To a jumphole surrounded by a huge swarm of Bounty Hunters in Hammerheads that were not pleased to see me. Then it was my turn to rabbit. This was the first mission I intentionally failed; mere issues of maneuverability are moot when faced with such a threat. As the saying goes, discretion is the better part of valor.

hehe Crash-Drive, been there...cruise disruptor would have come in real handy there eh? I gave up my torpedos for a cruise disruptor, haven't regretted it yet.

I like the Wolfhound best... I don't know why, it just seemed like I had the best luck with it.

The Borderworlds have the strongest ships, though, IMO...

Have a Sabre with 4 LEVEL10 Project weapons(DIAMONDBACK and BLOODSTONE) and 2 level9 something or others... Don't even need em, the Diamondbacks and Bloodstones do all the damage they need to.

Good guys go to heaven...Bad guys go...EVERYWHERE[![![!

I've taken quite a liking to the Hammerhead myself... very, very deadly in the right hands. Its agility, agressive looks, firepower and decent armor do it for me.

Agreed. I currently fly the Hammerhead loaded out with Class 8 and Class 9 weapons and have no difficulty whatsoever taking on whatever the border worlds can throw at me. Can't say for certain until I actually acquire one of the level 10 ships and try them out, but for now, the Hammerhead remains my all-time favorite ship in the game. It fits my image of my in-game personna, being more of the bounty-hunter type, and i love the way it looks.

I still like the logos on the Patriot, Rhino, and Defender. It's good "branding" for the Liberty ships

Har, .. so I can assume that NOBODY likes the Bretonian ships...

When I switched over to one I mourned the loss of my previos ship, inferior or not.

I think the Dagger is the best looking ship in the game, and the rest of the border worlds ships would be fine too if they didn't look like cop-outs ... Daggers with unnececary crap strapped to the fuselage to make it a bigger ship.

The Bounty Hunters ships also look kind of cool, and as I have mentioned before, the Rhineland ships accomplish the feat of "0wnzoring j00" as the more academic among us would say.

IM: I've said it before, the green engines do not make your ship cool.
Me: Jealous that the controlled green hyper-packets of Rhineland plasma drives accomplish more with less?
IM: Uh ..
Me: The drive start-up sound, the brilliant yellowed corona of the engine emission, the soft, wispy drifting output of an idling engine turning to the tightly packed, seemingly unconstrained burst of frentic, potent energy literally screaming "I am cooler than your engine, and GREEN.."
IM: ... um ..
Me: Or are you just mad that contact with the green gaseous emissions made you sterile?
IM: You sir, are a wacko.

I like the Crusader and the Clydesdale. The Cavalier looks dorky, though. I think the Clydesdale looks really sharp; too bad it doesn't carry much cargo (same goes for the Mule.)

I noticed something about the ships the other day. I used to think that the only difference between a light fighter and heavy fighter was that they added a couple new fins here and there. Since then, I've noticed that there's also a difference is scale. This came about from observing the size of the pilot compared to his cockpit.

I first noticed it with the Kusari ships. Flying a Drake, I was pleased to finally see a pilot that filled the cockpit. It makes the Drake look like a dedicated fighter. When I switched up to the Dragon, suddenly the pilot was sitting in an ampitheater, like I've become used to seeing in the ships. So, it seems that DA made another cheesey decision by simply increasing the size of the ship without rescaling the cockpit in relation to the pilot within.

Tell me I'm not the only one who thinks it's really odd to see a fighter pilot sitting in a cockpit the size of your average living room - completly devoid of any controls or anything beside the seat he sits in.

If the Dragon had a more favorable load out option. I'd still be flying it. It's my favorite Ship looks wise.
