interesting e-eegs within the apes/robot system

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

interesting e-eegs within the apes/robot system

If you fly to the farthest and largest sun (The sun on the map that is in the FAR UPPER right hand corner) which takes a long time since is goes right off of the map, you'll notice that it gives off no radition...I was actually bouncing my ship off of the sun object which is about 200 units across. You can keep flying past the sun but I really don't think anything is back there....just thought it was interesting to by around a large sun where there was no radtion..plus the "entering suns corona" warning is kinda cool.

The warning message appears with every sun; as for the bouncing, it's old news...

as mentioned in another of my post you can fly towards the sun without your ship exploding... the sun is absolutely non-dangerous for you... even though this star has an entity... fly to the center and you will bump into it... kinda wierd... dunno if it's a bug... anyway, notice that there is an escape velocity that doesn't allow you to get away that easy... I though I had to start over because i couldn't get out

check it out if you, like me, doesn't have a life....

Actually, come to think of it..at one point I was stuck. I couldn't move anywhere because I kept bouncing off the object. All I had to do was to turn the ship to the right or (perhaps left) and fly to the parallel of the sun object...this seemed to free me and I was able to fly behind the sun and then away from it.

Download the Grand Central Station mod and you can go from Manhattan to Primus in 1 jump.

One day while incredibly bored and passing time I flew a long, long, long, long way past that sun, while it receded clean out of sight I still found nothing up that shaft, might give down side of that shaft a try sometime in the future.

yeah there you go, kick in cruise mode, go to bed, see what happened in the morning.

What's interesting is that the conversation between ape/robot and Trent sounded like Trent was there before.

yeh i noticed that too...but i was either thinking..weird, an in game hint...orrr... a bug... i'm not too sure which one to think.

First time I visited the Blood Dragons base in the single player missions and visited the bar, they were all 'Welcome back Trent'. I definately hadn't been there before as I had spent the previous 2 or 3 gaps between storyline missions kicking BD butt.

Its just a bug I would think.

I have an interesting yet crazy idea. Why dont you fly up past the sun and initiate cruise mode, then record everything that apears on screen remotely incase you fly past something, you need not be there, then review and report back. There is a very, very odd eventuality that I have thought of, something very interesting could be up there 8/10's of the way to the end.

Or, you could just look at the system file.

Post Sun Mar 30, 2003 8:15 am

lol I like that idea better

Oh no fun in that.
